Цунами бывают разные, бывает высокая волна, бывает 2, 3,метра,самое разрушительная особенность цунами, она несётся с огромной скоростью, а потом отступает унося с собой и живых и мёртвых!!!

Я смотрела видео, где люди стояли в 10 м от пляжа когда пошла первая волна и снимали на телефоны!!!!

Сколько людей погибло, из за своей неосведомленности!!!! А ведь там туристы, уж эти то должны знать, что если так океан уходит, жди цунами

I have for so long grieved what is surely the loss of a friend who'd spent most of her time SCUBA diving at Phuket. I'd searched for lists but what a terrible, daunting task that must have been to pull together. We met in cyberspace through a penpal/Thai-English website. So many beautiful people just vanished. Is it accurate to say that like most of South Asia, the people seen herewith are unaware of what's coming until it arrives?

This hotel was featured prominently in the book called Waves- by Sonali Deraniyagala. Evidently her entire family perished in the tsunami as this hotel was badly hit by the waves. However it was re-built after the tsunami. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into how it looked like before that fatal day.
